What is Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship

The Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship is an initiative provided by the IIM Bangalore and the Ministry of Skill Development, Government of India. Nine IIM institutes around India (IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Jammu, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lancashire, IIM Nagpur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Udaipur, and IIM Visakhapatnam) provided this great fellowship. Academic Module

The on-campus academic module will provide an appealing and visionary understanding of great ideas for management, expansion economics, skills, and a non-discriminatory submission to improve the candidate’s ability to plan and link different pursuits to understand the development program. With each Academic Module containing 10 working days, the full duration of the Academic time scale is 40 classroom days. The whole academic content in the MGNF will depend on classroom teaching, projects, case conversations, and classic, closed-book exams.

Eligibility Criteria

As per the official notice, the officials added several eligibility requirements for applying for Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship 2023. Some of these requirements we have listed below-

• All applicants must be permanent citizens of India.
• All applicants must be aged between 21-30 years for applying for this fellowship.
• All consumers have to complete their postgraduate (Engineering, Law, Medicine, Social Sciences, etc.) degree from any govt. certified university or institution.

Selection Process

As per the IIM Bangalore’s decision, the whole selection process for the Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship will be planted on the entrance examination and primary interview.

Stipend

The Ministry of Skill Development, the Government of India, and enterprises provide a stipend of 50,000 rupees per month for first-year students and 60,000 rupees per month for second-year students who are selected for the Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship.

Exam Pattern

1)Written Entrance Test:

The whole examination will be conducted in MCQ mode of questions. It is conducted for 100 marks. The examination’s questions will come from subjects like General Awareness, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability Reading Comprehension. The exam will be held in the third week of April. The students who qualify for the Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship exam will qualify for the primary interview.

• General Awareness: This section is planned to check your apprehension of the world around us.
• Quantitative Ability: This section will check for your capability to execute numerical and mathematical calculations at the 10th Class level.
• Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning: This section tests your conclusion-making ability when not all information is fully at hand.
• Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension: This section tests your ability to make out complex visionary ideas and apply them.

The scoring scheme for MCQ questions is listed below-

• Each correct answer is granted 3 marks.
• An incorrect answer delivers a -1 mark.
• Any kind of marks is not provided for unattempted questions.

2)PERSONAL INTERVIEW:

A personal interview will conduct by the authority after succeeding in the written entrance test. In this interview, officials judge the applicant’s fitness, motivation, and knowledge of the local language. These interviews will be supervised in each state capital.
